Decoupled Redirection

Allowing the user to authenticate their bank account during the open banking consent journey using a different device by scanning a QR code

Tarabut Connect journey provides flexibility to the user by supporting the decoupled redirection flow, which allows the user to authenticate their bank account during the open banking consent journey using a different device by scanning a QR code.

Decoupled Redirection Steps

Here are the steps for the decoupled redirection flow through Connect:

  1. User selects his bank from the bank selection list and reviews consent details.

  2. In this step, user must authenticate their account through the bank channels, Tarabut Connect has two options:

    • Option (1) - Continue on this device: use the same device for authentication (default Connect flow).
    • Option (2) - Log in from another device: use a different device for authentication (decoupled redirection flow).
  1. If the user clicks on option (2) "Log in from another device", the user will need to scan the QR code to begin the account authentication process on a different device.
  1. Once the user scans the QR code, the user will start the authentication process on the other device and see the waiting screen on the main device until the authentication process is completed.
  1. User completes the authentication process on the other device.

    Note

Decoupled redirection supports both App based & Web based authentication as available from the bank, upon redirection to the bank, the App based authentication is invoked if supported by the bank.

  2. User will be redirected to the TPP screen once the authentication process is completed.
